Can I have a customized box/cutting board?

Absolutely! Email us directly with your design and we will get back to you within 2 business days with a price.

Why are the same sized boards different prices?

The price is partially depentant on the engraving time; some engravings take longer than others.

Are engravings and cutting boards interchangeable?

Yes, but some engravings do look better just as standard or large cutting boards. When you click on the engraving that you would like & the size option is not there then the engraving that you have choosen is only meant for the boards available. If you would like your board on a board size that is not there please email us with the engraving style and cutting board size desired and we will send you a proof of what the board would look like.

Do you send me a proof before my gift is engraved?

Yes we do. After we receive your confirmation about your order we start on your proof. You will receive a confirmation email in 1 business day and a proof of your design between 2-3 business days from your order date. If there are any changes that you would like to make please let us know when we send you the proof.
*With the exeption of the month of December; the holiday rush is hard to keep up with & sending proofs will dely the shipping of your gift.*

How long until you send me the finished product?

Your product will ship within 5 business days from when you send us back the approved proof.

Corporate Gifts - How do I purchase boards/boxes for my company?

First thank you for thinking of us for your company/business gifts.
Send us an email containing the following: Your name, your email, the company name & the company logo that you would like engraved in JPEG or PNG format. We do look over your logo to make sure it does meet our criteria for engraving. We will send you promo code that you can use at the checkout for your company discount.

-- The discount that you recieve is a standing discount & can be used at any time (for corporate gifts)

Are there any waxes or conditioners that you put on the gifts?

No - on the gift boxes, we do have an option for your box to have 2 coats of Lacquer on it -this is a protective seal, a satin finish, it brings the natural grains to the surface. these are sent out raw and ready for you to put a finish on or leave them raw. We dont put a conditionor on these in case you are storing photos or papers in the box.
Yes - we put one coat on before it leaves our shop on the cutting boards, It is a butcher block conditioner that is a food grade mineral oil. It is all natural. You can use your cutting board with the conditioner on. The wax keeps your keep-sake from getting cracked and prevents it from drying.

How often do I need to treat it with Butcher Block Conditioner?

To maintain the polished look and to keep it from cracking, oil your board at least once a month or however much you use it. We recommend Butcher Block Conditioner that is made for wood cutting boards - stay away from olive and vegetable oil.

What wood is best for me?

Cherry: A smooth texture, strong & durable wood. It becomes darker and richer with age. It has a reddish brown but can also be very pale.
Maple: A fine even texture with a wavy grain & is very durable. Has a off white or a creamy color to it with a golden hue.
Beech: A straight grain with a uniform texture. Its a pale cream color with sometimes a slight brown/pink hue.

What is Butcher Block Conditioner?

It is a food-grade mineral oil with water-resistant traits of beeswax & carnauba wax. The waxes help prevent drying, cracking, repairing knife marks & to protect the wood. *This product exceeds the requirement set forth in the U.S FDA regulations for direct & indirect food contact*

What can I cut on my board? Are all foods okay?

You can cut the same foods that you would cut on a plastic cutting board with the same thought in mind: dont use the same cutting board that you are cutting meats & poultry on, with other foods like fresh produce and bread. This will prevent bacteria on a cutting board that is used for raw meat, poultry, or seafood from contaminating a food that requires no further cooking.

Can I leave my board in the shipping box that it came in?

We very highly suggest that you do not. Wood does need to breath; wood contracts, expands & accumulates to your area. When you recieve your board please do take it out of the shipping box.

What if something is misspelled?

If you receive your board & something is misspelled or designed incorrectly and is not what you approved we will exchange or re-make another according to your original proof.

I don't like the wood color or the engraving color.

We do not replace items unless we have made an error or the board is not structurally sound. Board color & engraving color is not something we replace for. Our cutting boards are ALL natural. We do not use any putty, fillers, stains or any chemical & each piece is unique & different from the next.
-- Engravings are burned into the wood. All woods burn at a different a temperature. We do inspect each board after engraving & make sure the engraving meets our standards.
-- Some color variation & grains differ from board to board and even within the same board. This gives woods its natural character. Wood is not perfect or unblemished, wood may have mineral streaks & color variation.

My board was damaged when I received it. What should I do?

If your board is damaged when you receive it please let us know immediately. Take a picture of the board with your Receipt ID & send it to our email – drawersbd@gmail.com. Once we receive your email, we will process your information & ship your board within 3-4 business days upon receiving your notification. Upon receiving your board, please inspect it. If there are any cracks or splits or its damaged from shipping we will exchange or re-make another according to your original proof. We do our best and reject any wood that has a crack or looks like it may split. We do insure each piece as it is shipped.

Return Policy

Before we do any engraving we send out a proof; we do not engrave anything until we receive your approval. This removes the need for exchanges. Your approved proof is what we go off to engrave; we copy & paste your names/dates. Mistakes happen and we know that you may enter in a name/date incorrectly, but a new one free of charge is not possible. The most we can offer is a discount on an additional board. Personalized & custom items are not returnable or refundable. Unless there is a mistake on our part (ie- spelling) or if the board is not structurally sound – we will not refund or replace.

How do I order a furniture piece?

There are two (2) different ways to order from us
1. After you have found the piece that you like, feel free to give us a call or email with your Name (first & last), best way to contact you (phone or email) which piece you would like.
2. At the top of every page there is a link for "Ordering Process". That page has a link to a form for each piece, fill out those form and we will get back to you (email or phone)!
